2024 Club Championship
Dates: Saturday, August 10 & Sunday, August 11
FORMAT: 36 Holes Individual Stroke Play. PLAY THE BALL AS IT LIES
COST: $100 (includes cart fees, range fees, food on Sunday & prizes)
TEES:
- Championship Division: White/Blue Markers
- Senior Division: Gold Markers
- Ladies: Red Markers
REGISTRATION: Email Head Golf Pro, Rohan Allwood, to register by Monday, August 5
PRIZES: Prize based on number of participants in each Division.
FLIGHTING: The Club Championship will be a 36-hole gross stroke play event. Championship Division flighted determined by first round scores.
TIES: Ties for first place in each division will be decided by a Sudden Death Playoff beginning on Hole #1 and continuing forward. All other ties will be broken by the USGA recommendation of matching the final round scorecards using the last 9 holes, then the last 6 holes, the last 3 holes and finally the 18th hole.
ALL PLAY IS GOVERNED BY THE USGA RULES OF GOLF ALONG WITH THE FOLLOWING LOCAL RULES AND CONDITIONS:
TIME OF STARTING: Players will not be called to the tees. Each player is responsible for being at the assigned tee promptly to begin play on time. If a player arrives at his starting time within 5 minutes after his starting time, the penalty for failure to start on time is 2 strokes. Penalty for lateness beyond five minutes is disqualification.
DOUBT AS TO PROCEDURE: If in doubt as to procedure play a second ball under Rule 20.1c(3), keep score for both balls and report the facts to the Tournament Director upon completing the round.
PENALTY AREAS: All penalty areas are defined by red lines.
OUT OF BOUNDS: Defined by white stakes along the left side of hole #10 and by the rope fence behind the green on #18.
GROUND UNDER REPAIR: Defined by white enclosed lines. All ungrassed areas WITHIN THE CONFINES OF THE FAIRWAY are to be treated as GROUND UNDER REPAIR. Please confirm with your playing competitors before taking relief.
EMBEDDED BALL: A ball embedded in its own pitch-mark in the ground in any mown area through the green may be lifted, cleaned and dropped, without penalty, as near as possible to the spot where it lay but not nearer the hole.
